Hmm. That's facinating. I feel that many young people haven't cared about politics for a long time. During the 2008 election, the media showed a great multitude of young people (especially college aged) who seemed quite enthusiastic about voting. For Obama, of course. But I believe half of it was the liberals getting people excited, and the other half was young black people not caring or even being aware of Obama's political views, but just wanting him to get into office because of his race.
Now that all the excitement is over, young people don't care anymore.

I also actually, for a class, just conducted a poll on the Anoka-Ramsey Community College campus related to political involvement and awareness. Maybe I'll post the results of that on here later on..

Here's the results of the poll I conducted:
"How much would you say you really care about political issues in general?"
Definitely Care: 26% Care: 11% Kind of care: 44% Mostly Indifferent: 11% Don't care: 7%
So the results are pretty much clumped in the middle at "kind of care". But over 1/4 of the students "definitely care". Of course, this was only a small poll so the results are definitely not on a national level...
