Stand for calm and fearless, mild and compassionate, considerate towards poor and rich alike, absorbed with the one idea of freeing all men from the bonds of misery, and irresistible in manner of seeking Nirvana.

That's just what I learned today in history...lol the ultimate goal is reaching Nirvana, and triumphing over pain, anxiety, and suffering... which you can do by coming to understanding them, by being "enlightened" through the Four Noble Truths, and by living the Eight-Fold Path. Nirvana, btw, is not paradise, it is the achievement of becoming one with all: in example, a drop of water going into an endless sea - it becomes one with the rest of the water.
