I find it interesting that they require people to show an ID when they write a check, go to school, apply for a job, purchase liquor, etc., but when it comes to electing our government leaders, it is not required.

You makes good points. I definitely think that as simple of a thing as presenting an ID should be required to vote.

Considering the fact that there have been reports of people not being able to vote because apparently someone else voted "for" them.
I mean, if you don't show an ID, then you could be ANYONE. You could be under age for all they know, taking someone else's name and using it.
